Can someone suggest me a good book on Machine learning/data mining using R assuming I don’t have much background knowledge in statistics

Hi @ayushgg92 check out this article http://www.analyticsvidhya.com/blog/2016/01/ultimate-plan-data-scientist-2016/
For starters you should go for R cook book and machine learning for hacker.

Hi @ayushgg92,

A very good book is Elements of Statistical Learning - http://statweb.stanford.edu/~tibs/ElemStatLearn/

The best part is that it is ‘legitimately’ open-source

Hope you like it.

Cheers,

Hi @ayushgg92 you can try the following books for machine learning and getting an insight about the topics

Hey,

Sharing a post here with another book recommendation from Alain:

It might help.

Cheers!
