Data Analysis and Interpretation

dataanalysis

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can offer some help. I am a complete novice with an interest in sports data analytics.

I have some cricket betting odds over the period of a match in excel and have inputted them into Microsoft BI to visually interpret them. What I would like to do now is some analysis of the data. For example between certain times of the game the odds change by x%; or once certain odds are hit they never recover 98% of the time etc.

Can anyone please point me in the write direction re: software I may need, courses I should undertake or learning platforms I should look at to progress?

Many thanks.

Wayne

You may want to read (and later publish on) this journal. You can have free access on this site:

The journal is published via the IOS Press.

Enjoy.

Hi,

I suggest you to read the data first into data frame and analyse the data.
df = pd.read_excel(‘path of the sheet’,‘sheetname’)
so for this you needed Pandas library(official site you can find here : https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/reference/api/pandas.read_excel.html)

and to visualize the data you needed here matplot lib or seaborn or dataframe apis.
official site you can find here for matplot lib : https://matplotlib.org/
official site you can find here for seaborn lib https://seaborn.pydata.org/
