Hi,

After reading through the article “19 Data Science Tools for people who aren’t so good at Programming”, it got me thinking about what data scientist prefer to use - learning and knowing how to using languages like Python and R for data science or using some of the tools as shown in the article “19 Data Science Tools for people who aren’t so good at Programming”.

I was curious as I am not a data scientist but it is a field I would like to get into. I already know Python and a bit of R, but would learning the other tools (mentioned in the article) be a better use of my time?

Depends on what you want to achieve.

If you want to become a hands on data scientist, you should be good with coding and know at least one of the two well.

On the other hand, if you just want to draw inferences from data and do small scale analysis, the tools mentioned in the article would come in handy.

Hope that helps.
