stringsAsFactor = FALSE is a good practice or not?

I was wondering that whether stringsAsFactor = FALSE is good to specify in the read.csv() of R. I was using this but sometimes i see codes of topper data scientists and they dont use it.

stringsAsFactor = FALSE, means your character vectors or categorical vectors wont be converted to Factors, it is FALSE by default, you need to set it true and it depends on your data, but sometime it create trouble when you dont want certain character varible to be converted as Factors. So this is not a question about practice, it is just your choice and it highly depends on the data.

It is totally dependent on the data you are using. . if you are having highly textual data keep it false and if you think your data is having some what factors keep it as true.
